Stephanie Blazewicz focuses her practice on class action, intellectual property, and commercial litigation. She has defended companies in consumer class actions in federal and state court alleging claims of unfair business practices, false advertising, fraud, and violation of consumer protection statutes. Ms. Blazewicz has represented a footwear company in the enforcement of the company’s distinctive trade dress, including representing the company in trademark litigation in federal court. She has defended companies in cases alleging patent infringement and worked with expert witnesses on the calculation of damages relating to the alleged patent infringement. She has also represented clients in breach of contract, product liability, and financial services litigation. Ms. Blazewicz has argued dispositive motions and first-chaired trials in state and federal court, receiving favorable outcomes on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Ms. Blazewicz was named as a “Rising Star” by Northern California Super Lawyers in 2013 and 2014. She has worked on a number of pro bono cases, successfully obtaining legal immigration status for victims of crimes and securing the dismissal of removal proceedings for a client in immigration court. Ms. Blazewicz also supports a variety of community organizations. She previously was recognized as the “Top Banana” by the United Way of the Bay Area for her commitment and enthusiasm as the leader of her office’s fundraising campaign. Ms. Blazewicz is also the co-chair of the San Francisco Women’s Forum and Women’s Initiative.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Blazewicz served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Linda K. Davis in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Before attending law school, she worked as a financial analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Ms. Blazewicz holds an undergraduate degree in finance and economics.
