Steve is a partner in the Real Estate practice group and based in the Atlanta office. With over 25 years of experience, he has been involved in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.

Steve represents owners, developers, property managers, financial institutions and investors nationwide in the purchase, development, management, leasing and sale of office buildings, multi-family apartments and condominiums, hotels and leisure projects, industrial facilities, single-family residential developments and subdivisions, mixed-use projects, health care facilities and corporate-owned real estate.

During downturns in the real estate market, Steve has represented lenders and borrowers in loan workout negotiations and investors in the purchase and sale of distressed single-asset and portfolio properties.

One unique area of Steve’s practice focuses on representing timberland investors, investment managers, forest-product companies and financial institutions in large land transactions throughout the United States, South America and other countries.

In addition, he is involved in the biomass energy industry, representing suppliers of feedstock and developers and operators of facilities that produce wood pellets as an alternative fuel source for electric power generation.
