Stephen D. Sayre is a Member of the Corporate Finance Group. He is also co-leader of the Firm's Life Sciences team.
Mr. Sayre is a practical, results-oriented corporate attorney focused on middle-market commercial matters. In that capacity, he acts as outside general counsel for companies that do not have inside counsel, leading transactional matters and managing commercial litigation, employment and tax matters.
Mr. Sayre's practice focuses on pharmaceutical companies, information technology companies and companies in the automotive industry. As each of these industries has become increasingly global, his work has expanded to include matters with companies in Asia, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
He also assists larger companies with middle market commercial transactions such as commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and software development and licensing agreements.
He began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary L. Cooper, United States District Court Judge for the District of New Jersey.
Prior to law school, Mr. Sayre worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Ernst & Whinney and in private industry in the areas of auditing and accounting.
