Steven D. Kittrell

Steve is managing partner of the Washington office and former chair of the tax and employee benefits practice. He represents a variety of public and private clients on executive compensation, qualified retirement plans, and related benefits matters.
Working with my clients to balance the interests of the company, executives and investors while complying with multiple legal requirements makes our executive compensation representations very rewarding personally and professionally.

Steve’s practice focus is on executive compensation and retirement plans. He advises management and boards of directors about the tax, securities, and corporate aspects of compensation arrangements, including equity incentive plans, performance compensation, executive employment contracts and SERPs. His work includes representation of compensation committees. Steve also assists clients in design and compliance for retirement plans, including defined benefit plans.

Steve is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation. In addition, he has taught classes on executive compensation, ESOPs and legal compliance for 403(b) retirement plans. While earning his law degree from George Washington University National Law Center, Steve served as a legislative assistant to Senator Bob Dole.
