Steve regularly advises clients in connection with Chapter 11 reorganization cases, Chapter 9 municipality cases, out-of-court restructurings, acquisitions of troubled companies and structuring of corporate and credit transactions.Steve’s principal focus since 1985 has been and continues to be the representation of banks and other financial institutions in the restructuring of large syndicated credit facilities extended to borrowers in a wide variety of businesses and industries. Such work has involved complex out-of-court restructurings and representation prior to, during and after Chapter 11 and Chapter 9 proceedings, including “pre-packaged” and “pre-negotiated” cases, cases involving the sale or acquisition of substantially all of the debtor’s assets, and cases in which his lender clients became the majority owners and holders of restructured debt obligations of reorganized businesses.
