Steve Wise was awarded the title of Lifetime Member of the Abolitionist Institute for Animals at the Third World Congress on Bioethics and Animal Rights in Brazil.
Also recognized for their work were Professors David Cassuto and David Favre.
The special panel and ceremony recognizing Professors Cassuto, Favre, and Wise awarded each the title of Lifetime Member of the Institute in honor of their important work in the struggle for animal rights.
Favre, Cassuto and Wise join the select group of lifetime members of the IAA, which includes Edna Dias Cardoso, Marly Winkler, and the founders of the IAA, Heron Gordilho, Luciano Santana and Laerte Lavai.
The Third World Congress on Bioethics and Animal Rights was sponsored by The Abolitionist Institute for Animals (IAA), in partnership with the Federal University of Pernambuco and Federal University of Bahia, and featured scholars and activists from all over the world.
