Stuart serves as outside general counsel to numerous private equity portfolio companies and family-owned businesses. He has participated in over 100 M&A transactions domestically and internationally. His experience includes transactions in the following sectors: telecommunications, banking, insurance brokerage, wealth management, mortgage brokerage, behavioral health, hospice, nutritional supplements, software, electronic health records, education, heavy manufacturing, industrial chemicals, transportation, equipment leasing, craft brewing, waste disposal, recycling, commercial landscaping, multi-unit restaurants and mining.

Stuart represents several fund managers, investment managers and family offices with respect to investment adviser compliance. In addition, he has significant experience forming real estate funds, funds-of-funds, private equity funds and other similar pooled investment vehicles.
