Susan Welch focuses on antitrust litigation and counseling, complex civil litigation, and appellate matters. She represents clients in high-stakes litigation before state and federal courts throughout the United States. She also advises clients in connection with antitrust investigations and subpoenas issued by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Susan has also conducted competitive analyses of multimillion-dollar transactions to determine reportability to the antitrust agencies under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. She has experience with a wide range of industries including cloud hosting, microprocessors, flash memory technology, Bluetooth technology, credit card processing, telecommunications, and medical products and staffing.

In addition to her antitrust experience, Susan has represented clients on a variety of contract, condemnation, medical, and water resource cases in state and federal courts. As a member of the Appellate Group, she has participated in defamation and product liability appeals in California and Missouri appellate courts, and assisted on a U.S. Supreme Court appellate matter regarding the federal abortion ban on behalf of Planned Parenthood.

Susan has also worked extensively on a variety of pro bono matters and has tried a civil rights/medical malpractice case before a jury in federal court.

Susan served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Joyce L. Kennard, Associate Justice for the California Supreme Court.
