Susan’s practice focuses on employment-related matters from the management side, including matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).
She has experience defending employers in state and federal courts, and before state and federal agencies. In addition to her litigation practice, she counsels employers regarding employment agreements, handbooks and policies, employee discipline and terminations, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Susan has served as a regional chair for the firm's Women's Leadership Forum since 2008. Susan also is a member of the North Carolina State Alumni Association, the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys and serves on the Board of Advisors for Charlotte Collegiate Football.
While earning her law degree from Wake Forest University, Susan was a member of the Moot Court Board.
