Susan S. Briggs

Susan S. Briggs has practiced law at the firm since her graduation from law school in 1967. She focuses on estate planning and estate/trust administration, with an emphasis on complex estates, intergenerational planning and charitable giving; she particularly enjoys dealing with unusual gift and estate tax issues.

Susan chairs the board of directors of the Flora Family Foundation, a private charitable foundation in national and international philanthropy, and is an adviser to the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation. Combining her lifelong interest in dance with her experience in estate planning, she has been a member of the board of trustees of the San Francisco Ballet Association since 1983 and chairs the Planned Giving Committee. She is also a director of the San Francisco Ballet Endowment Foundation. She pursues her interest in philanthropy in Africa as a member of the Global Philanthropists Circle of The Synergos Institute, as a trustee of the Friends of Africa Foundation and as a director of Mindset, Inc.
