Tammy Boggs is an associate providing litigation and advisory services in the Privacy, Security & Information Management Practice at Foley & Lardner LLP. Her practice emphasizes consumer class actions, privacy and health care litigation. Ms. Boggs has substantial experience in all stages of litigation and civil procedure, including complex e-discovery issues, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, contract negotiations, alternative dispute resolution and appeals. She represents clients in both state and federal court proceedings, as well as in arbitrations. Ms. Boggs has also defended clients in a variety of commercial business disputes and patent litigation pending in district courts and the International Trade Commission.

Ms. Boggs routinely advises clients on compliance with privacy laws and best practices for information governance, and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/U.S. She has experience handling a number of high-profile privacy and consumer protection matters brought by the Federal Trade Commission and other regulatory agencies, and has coordinated incident responses to security breaches.

Ms. Boggs is also a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Asylum/Immigration Practice, and has won asylum and immigration status for numerous indigent clients before the San Diego Immigration Court and in administrative proceedings. Her work has led non-profit agency Casa Cornelia to recognize Ms. Boggs with an Inn of Court Pro Bono Publico Award. She also serves on the firm’s Diversity Committee.
