Tania S. Perez

Tania Perez focuses her practice on the development of U.S. and international energy infrastructure projects, including LNG regasification and liquefaction terminals, and natural gas and oil/liquids storage and pipeline facilities.

Tania advises clients on the commercial arrangements of LNG and natural gas infrastructure projects. Her experience includes drafting supporting agreements, including natural gas/LNG/LPG/NGL sale and purchase, transportation, EPC, O&M, and fuel supply. Chambers USA has recognized her work in this area by noting that she "has a wealth of experience in oil and gas transactions, particularly those concerning the establishment of energy infrastructure, such as pipelines, natural gas storage and LNG terminals."

Tania also has been recognized as a leading LNG and natural gas storage regulatory lawyer by Chambers USA. She has participated in over 30 administrative proceedings involving the siting, construction and operation of LNG and natural gas pipeline and storage facilities, before the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy. Tania offers clients in-depth knowledge and experience in administrative litigation matters involving challenges to infrastructure development under U.S. federal law and public policy grounds. She also advises clients on a wide range of regulatory compliance matters including administrative audits, standards of conduct and affiliate issues, and energy trading and risk management assessments and programs.

In addition to her recurrent recognition as a leading lawyer by Chambers USA (2009-2015), Tania has also been named a New York Metro Rising Star in Energy and Natural Resources by Thompson Reuters (2011-2014), and listed in Who’s Who in American Law (2011). She is also a frequent speaker and author on energy and infrastructure project issues and developments.
