Tara B. Mulrooney is a special construction counsel in the Real Estate Department. Tara practices in all aspects of construction law, including the representation of owners, architects, engineers, construction managers and contractors in the design and construction process. Such representation includes drafting and negotiating a full range of design and construction agreements for projects of all types, from condominium and hotel development to school construction, office renovations and high-end residential construction. She also represents parties in connection with adjacent construction issues, and drafts and negotiates the access and license agreements between project owners and adjacent property owners.
In addition to providing representation in transactional matters and counsel in business matters, Tara has litigated numerous complex, multi-party construction cases. Tara’s experience litigating claims of alleged negligence, breach of contract, construction defects and delays, on behalf of both owners and design professionals, gives her unique insight into many issues that arise in contract preparation.
