Tara has experience advising financial institutions on consumer protection compliance and consumer finance litigation in bankruptcy and federal courts across the country. Her litigation experience includes defense of actions under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Truth In Lending Act, and United States Trustee investigations. She also has extensive litigation experience defending financial institutions against claims for contempt and sanctions arising from alleged violations of the automatic stay and discharge injunction in bankruptcy throughout the country. Tara also advises financial institutions as to policies and procedure for compliance with all consumer protection statutes, including how those statutes intersect with the Bankruptcy Code.
