Tara M. Williams

Tara M. Williams focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation and transactional matters, including patent and trademark litigation, licensing, patent and trademark prosecution, and trade secret misappropriation litigation.

Tara manages all aspects of intellectual property litigation, including budgeting, motion practice, eDiscovery, Markman preparation, and trial preparation. Her legal knowledge includes experience across a broad range of technological areas and industries, including technologies related to semiconductors and electronics, wireless communications, the automotive industry, business method patents, wireless data transmission, oil field related equipment and processes, chemical processes and manufacturing, ophthalmologic devices and procedures, and consumer electronics and appliances. She also has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical and mechanical arts.

Before entering the legal profession, Tara was a senior instrument and electrical engineer with Celanese Chemicals. Her responsibilities included project management; specification, installation and troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical equipment; programming, configuration and maintenance of programmable logic controllers (PLC); specification and configuration of distributed control systems (DCS), and various safety and environmental related responsibilities.
