Taylor Young is an associate in the Emerging Companies practice group and a member of Cooley's Business department. She joined the Firm in 2013 and is resident in the Palo Alto office.

Ms. Young practices general corporate and securities law, representing both private and public companies in a variety of matters, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and SEC compliance. She also represents investment banks and venture capitalists in equity transactions.

Ms. Young graduated first in her class and summa cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law. She was also elected to the Order of the Coif and honored with the Mabie Award for the Outstanding Graduate. While at Santa Clara, Ms. Young received numerous CALI and Witkin awards for academic excellence in various substantive areas, including Venture Capital and Legal Issues of Startup Businesses. She earned a BA in political science, with Distinction, from Stanford University.

Ms. Young is a member of the State Bar of California.
