Teena-Ann V. Sankoorikal is a litigator who has handled many high-profile intellectual property and complex litigation disputes. Her broad practice encompasses patent, copyright, trade secret, breach of contract, antitrust and other commercial matters. Over the course of her career, Ms. Sankoorikal has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of disputes, including Alarm.com, IBM, Qualcomm and Warner Brothers Records, among others. Prior to joining Levine Lee, Ms. Sankoorikal was a partner for ten years at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
Ms. Sankoorikal is the coauthor of the Intellectual Property Law Answer Book (6th ed.), published by the Practising Law Institute. She has received numerous awards and honors, including: the National Diversity Council’s Multicultural Leadership Award of the TriState Area (2016); The Legal 500 United States’ recommendation for patent litigation work (2015); the Asian American Business Development Center’s “Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business” (2015); Leaders League Innovation – Technology & Intellectual Property Report recognition (2014 & 2015); as a “Rising Star” (2013) by both the New York Law Journal and the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA); and as one of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s “Best Lawyers Under 40” (2012).
Ms. Sankoorikal is a Fellow of the Yale Science & Engineering Association. She also serves on the Regional Board (New York) of CollegeSpring and is a member of the Board of Directors of NYC Outward Bound Schools. She is a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY) and previously served on AABANY’s Board of Directors. Ms. Sankoorikal was named a 2015 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
Ms. Sankoorikal is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law (Research Editor, Law Review) and Yale University (cum laude, with a double major in Chemistry and Sociology).
