Theodore H. Davis Jr

Ted Davis divides his practice between domestic and international litigation and client counseling in the fields of trademark, copyright, false advertising, and unfair competition law, and has particular experience in trade dress disputes and with large-scale trademark clearance and registration projects. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Trademark Association, which he has represented in several amicus filings before the United States Supreme Court, and is currently the Chair-elect of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law, on behalf of which he has testified before Congress on trademark and Internet issues.

Mr. Davis has been recognized as one of Atlanta’s “Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend magazine and as a 2010 Georgia "Super Lawyer” for Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Litigation and again in 2011, 2013 and 2014 for Intellectual Property by Super Lawyers magazine. He was named by Legal Media Group to its 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 Guide to the World's Leading Trademark Law Practitioners and to its Best of the Best USA 2011 as one of the top 25 practitioners for Trademark Law in the country. Mr. Davis has also been listed in the 2015 and the four years immediately preceding editions of The Best Lawyers in America® for Intellectual Property Law. He was also named a 2014 "Atlanta Lawyer of the Year" in the area of Trademark Law by The Best Lawyers in America®. Mr. Davis was recognized by The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers for Trademark Law in 2013 and 2014 and by The International Who's Who of Trademark Lawyers in 2010, 2011 and 2013. He is listed in the 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions of World Trademark Review 1000 – The World's Leading Trademark Professionals and was ranked among the top seven attorneys nationally in 2014 for Enforcement, Prosecution and Strategy by World Trademark Review 1000. Mr. Davis was recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business for Intellectual Property in 2013 and 2014. He was named a 2013 and 2014 "IP Star" by Managing Intellectual Property magazine. Mr. Davis is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
