Theresa Beaton focuses her practice on complex business litigation in federal and state court. She has experience representing clients in the hospitality, software, telecommunications, and construction industries in general commercial, franchise, and securities litigation, resulting in the efficient resolution of many multimillion dollar disputes.

Ms. Beaton is also active in the firm’s pro bono efforts, including representation of prisoners in federal habeas corpus cases.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Beaton worked in a coastal Georgia law firm where she represented corporate and individual clients in civil matters, including non-compete litigation, contract advising, fiduciary litigation, and other tort and contract litigation matters.

Ms. Beaton also served as a judicial clerk to Chief Judge Lisa Godbey Wood of the Southern District of Georgia. While in law school, Ms. Beaton was the Editor-in-Chief of the Georgia Law Review, Faculty Hiring Student Chair, and a Dean’s Ambassador. She was selected as a member of the Order of the Coif.
