Tom Rowan has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in all areas of patent law, including patent enforcement strategies and litigation, patent procurement, patent portfolio management, opinions, due diligence, and negotiations. His work has involved a broad range of technologies in areas including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemical compounds and processes, medical and orthopedic devices, magnetic materials, vitamin supplements, and cosmetics.

Tom has represented clients in patent infringement actions before federal district courts throughout the United States, as well as appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Tom also has litigated cases before the International Trade Commission, including a case that led to a general exclusion order against a number of foreign respondents who were importing infringing magnetic materials into the United States.

Tom is a member of the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
