Thomas Strong assists small, medium, and large clients in defending against employee claims in court and before administrative agencies. He also assists employers in complying with the various federal, state, and local laws governing the employment relationship. This includes assisting employers in complying with anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, family and medical leave laws, and other laws governing the employment relationship as well as assisting employers in investigations into employee claims of discrimination and harassment. Mr. Strong also assists employers in enforcing and drafting covenants not to compete in an environment of conflicting and changing state laws. In addition, Mr. Strong assists employers in complying with occupational safety and health laws and in defending against occupational safety and health citations issued to employers.

Mr. Strong's clients are small, medium and large employers in the Baltimore and Washington, DC region, which he advises regularly and represents in litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings when necessary. His clients cover the spectrum of industries, including financial, retail, hospitality, biotechnology, food service, manufacturing, and government contracting. His representative cases include:

Activities
Mr. Strong renders pro bono employment advice to local nonprofit organizations, including TurnAround, Inc., which provides counseling and other services to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
