n addition to his work on behalf of debtors and official committees of unsecured creditors, Tom regularly represents secured creditors, trustees, and debtor-in-possession lenders in bankruptcy-related disputes. Beyond his extensive Chapter 11 experience, he frequently represents clients in preference and fraudulent transfer proceedings, and provides opinion letters on commercial transactions.

Well respected within the bankruptcy bar, Tom sits on the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute and serves as a judge in the annual Chief Judge Conrad S. Duberstein National Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition. For several consecutive years (2013, 2014, 2015), Super Lawyers named him a Delaware Rising Star in Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights.

Tom actively contributes pro bono legal services to deserving causes, including acting as a guardian ad litem through Delaware’s Office of the Child Advocate, and representing clients in protection from abuse proceedings through Delaware Volunteer Legal Services. He also sits on the Executive Committee of the St. Thomas More Society of Wilmington, devoted to the protection of religious liberty.

Tom writes frequently on bankruptcy topics for the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal. He is a member of the Delaware Bankruptcy Inn of Court, the Delaware State Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
