Tom Leary has extensive experience advising public and private companies, boards of directors and executives in a broad range of complex business, litigation and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public and private securities offerings, corporate finance, SEC reporting and compliance, corporate governance and executive compensation. Mr. Leary has served as outside transactional and general counsel to clients in a variety of industries, including retailing and e-commerce, apparel, consumer products, manufacturing, engineering, restaurants, food and beverage distribution, Internet media and advertising, insurance, professional services, healthcare, and real estate development and management.

Prior to joining Manatt, Mr. Leary served as a senior executive and general counsel of a large, publicly-traded apparel retailer, where he was responsible for management and oversight of all legal affairs and human resources. Prior to his position there, Mr. Leary was a partner for more than 12 years with a large international law firm, where he was a member of the corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and securities practice groups.
