Tom Sharbaugh is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Sharbaugh’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions for a number of domestic and foreign clients, as well as securities offerings involving publicly and privately held companies and general corporate advice to a number of ongoing clients of the firm. He is also active in representing investment funds and investors in venture capital and other transactions that are exempt from registration under the federal securities laws.

Mr. Sharbaugh has lectured to a number of groups regarding offering securities under Regulation D and other registration exemptions under the federal securities laws.

Mr. Sharbaugh recently stepped down as the firm-wide Managing Partner for Operations, a position he held for more than 14 years. Having lived in different parts of Pennsylvania for all but his years in law school, he maintains a strong interest in business and educational organizations throughout the Commonwealth. He has been a director of several publicly and privately held corporations and a trustee of a number of schools and other non-profit organizations. Mr. Sharbaugh is currently the Chair of the Board of Managers of Pennsylvania Hospital and a member of the Board of Trustees of Penn Medicine.
