Tim Heverin's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, licensing, and counseling. He has represented clients in patent infringement lawsuits in district courts throughout the United States and before the ITC. Tim's work has involved cutting edge and diverse technologies in the fields of wireless communication, chip architecture and logic, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemical processing, information theory and coding, internet commerce and search, database mining, and semiconductor processing.

Tim has extensive experience litigating Hatch-Waxman and other pharmaceutical patent cases, in which he has represented brand name companies and protected intellectual property rights covering products such as Prezista®, Hytrin®, Tricor® and Istodax®.

Tim serves as Hiring Partner for the Chicago Office and, as such, heads the office's Recruiting Committee. Prior to attending law school, Tim attended Naval Nuclear Power School and worked as a nuclear plant engineer for the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.
