Todd Gerety, Senior Counsel, is a seasoned patent attorney with extensive experience in all aspects of patent law. With a personal, hands-on approach, Todd is dedicated to working with his clients in developing effective patent strategies that align with their business objectives.


Todd’s practice focuses on all phases of U.S. and international patent portfolio development, including patent application drafting and patent prosecution with particular emphasis in the areas of electronics, software, medical devices, e-Commerce, financial services, and telecommunications.

Prior to joining The Marbury Law Group, Todd practiced in the IP/Litigation Department of Proskauer Rose LLP, an international Am Law 100 firm. As a senior attorney in the Patent Law Practice group, Todd represented high tech and university clients in a variety of engagements, including patent portfolio development, patent litigation, IP due diligence, and licensing.

Todd’s clients also benefit from his significant industry experience in engineering. Prior to his legal career, Todd worked in R&D for several years as a software engineer at a leading telecommunications company providing hardware and software solutions for remote access networking.
