Dr. Garcia has previous experience as a Legal Extern for Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has research experience as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Rhode Island where he performed bacteriology research, and as a Research Assistant with American Cyanamid, Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, New York, doing DTP vaccine research and production. Dr. Garcia also served as a Research Assistant for the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center in New York doing Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV) research.
