Tom is an associate in the Real Estate practice group. He focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.

Tom’s experience includes drafting purchase and sale agreements, leases and loan documents as well as handling real estate closings and conducting title and survey reviews. He is also skilled in negotiations related to the acquisition and disposition of real estate properties.

Prior to entering private practice, Tom served as general counsel and secretary at Nations Lending Corporation in Independence, Ohio. In this role, he created and developed the in-house legal department, oversaw the company’s legal and ethical concerns and led corporate governance initiatives; coordinated legal strategies for lawsuits, class actions and mediations with outside counsel; and oversaw day-to-day legal matters, including managing the company’s leasing portfolio as the company expanded throughout the United States.

While earning his law degree, Tom served as a judicial extern for Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor of the Supreme Court of Ohio and as a legal extern for the Honorable Christine T. McMonagle of the Court of Appeals of Ohio, Eighth Appellate District.
