I serve as Townsend Lockett's Managing Partner and Leader of its business and transactional law practices. My practice focuses on servicing businesses and supporting their growth through the facilitation of financing, asset acquisition and relationship management. My clientele consists of publicly traded and privately-held corporations, joint ventures and sole proprietors. During my many years of providing business legal services I have mastered the art of contract negotiation and drafting, and have an intimate knowledge of the nuances of building excellent agreements that are in the best interests of my clients.

In my legal practice, I help privately-held business take their companies public by registering their securities for public offer and sale in compliance with the Securities Exchange Commission ("SEC") and applicable state laws. My practice also entails assisting reporting companies prepare compliant filings that balance my clients' needs for protecting invaluable confidential information with legal obligations to disclose information material to investor decision-making. As counsel to my financial institution clients I provide support in developing well-protected lending arrangements.

My service objectives are simple: 1) hear my client's needs and goals, 2) work intelligently and tirelessly to meet those needs and goals, and 3) when I have done so, provide an additional business benefit to my client that may not have been requested, but improves my client's bottom line without additional cost.
