Trevor Whiting is a partner at the Dana Law Firm, having joined the firm in 2008. Trevor is currently in charge of the firm’s Tax Department and works side-by-side with Matt Dana on the firm’s high-net-worth estate planning. Trevor’s practice focuses on estate/gift tax planning and estate/trust income tax planning. Trevor’s strong background in tax law is beneficial in addressing the tax issues that arise while planning or administering an estate. Trevor successfully handles the estate and income tax issues related to dealing with out-of-state fiduciaries or trusts and estates owning property in multiple jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Dana Law Firm, Trevor worked in the New York City office of Deloitte Tax LLP, where he assisted corporate and partnership clients with complex tax transactions and multistate income tax compliance issues. While working for Deloitte, Trevor began taking classes at New York University towards a Masters of Law degree in Taxation (LL.M.), which he finished in 2010. His coursework at NYU focused on issues related to estate, gift, and generation skipping transfer taxation and income taxation of trusts and estates.

Trevor graduated from Seton Hall Law School, cum laude, where he earned his law degree. Prior to law school, Trevor attended Arizona State University where he earned a B.S. degree in Economics. After completing his degree at ASU, Trevor worked for Prudential Relocation as a Compensation Analyst. During his two plus years with Prudential, Trevor earned an M.B.A. degree from the University of Phoenix.

When not working, Trevor loves spending time with his wife and five daughters. He enjoys spending time outdoors with them and tries to spend as much time as possible in Arizona’s White Mountains. Trevor is an avid sports fan and, having grown up in Arizona, can always be found rooting for ASU, the Cardinals, Suns, and Diamondbacks.
