General Counsel and VP of IP of growing travel products company. I have a broad range of experience in all aspects of intellectual property law, primarily focusing on U.S. district court and appellate litigation, patent office proceedings, and strategic counseling. In addition to U.S. district court litigation and appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, I have also successfully handled matters in a range of other venues, including the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
In addition to my litigation practice, I have overseen the patent portfolio of various companies, and handled all aspects of their intellectual property needs, including reexaminations, reissues, licensing, and patent monetization and valuation. My technical experience principally extends to mechanical and electromechanical technologies.
I am a frequent lecturer on intellectual property issues for various groups including American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). I have also served in various bar associations including AIPLA, IPO, and Giles Rich American Inn of Court. In AIPLA, I have served in various capacities including Vice Chair and Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee, Vice Chair and Chair of the Education Committee. I am currently the Chair of the IP Law Association Committee and serving as co-chair of the Fellows Training Video Project.
