Ulises R. Pin

Ulises Pin represents U.S. and foreign communications and technology companies on a broad range of corporate, financial and regulatory matters. He also advises private equity firms, venture capital funds and financial institutions in connection with investments in the TMT and technology sectors.

Ulises represents clients before the Federal Communications Commission as well as government agencies in Mexico, Latin America, Europe and Asia. His practice includes all sectors of the TMT market, including wireline, wireless and international communications, VoIP, infrastructure projects (land and submarine networks), satellite services and emerging technologies.

Ulises has worked on a variety of complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, public offerings, joint ventures and private and public equity investments. He also represents public and private companies in corporate and finance transactions across a range of industries, including telecommunications, technology, energy, retail, real estate and waste management.

Ulises has also represented institutional, high-yield and distressed debt investors in complex workout and insolvency matters in domestic and cross-border restructurings, including acquiring assets and companies out of bankruptcy estates.

In addition, Ulises has significant experience advising clients on foreign investment, export control and embargo issues before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the Department of Treasury and the Departments of Commerce, State, Defense, Homeland Security and Justice.

Ulises has extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of telecommunications and technology contracts on behalf of telecommunications operators, equipment manufacturers and large telecommunications users.

Prior to joining the firm, Ulises worked at a prominent corporate law firm in Mexico City where he advised Mexican and international investors in corporate and finance matters.

Ulises is a native Spanish speaker.
