Victor E. Johnson is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice, resident in the San Francisco office. Mr. Johnson's practice includes counseling clients in various aspects of intellectual property matters, including the areas of patent and trademark procurement, due diligence, and opinion work (freedom to operate, invalidity, and non-infringement). Mr. Johnson has experience in the development and management of worldwide intellectual property portfolios for both startups and mature companies. He also has experience in various technologies, including molded containers and closures, semiconductor fabrication equipment, bioanalytical measurement systems, chromatography equipment, medical and dental devices, and agricultural and food processing equipment.
Mr. Johnson received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1999. While in law school, he was a legal intern for the U.S. International Trade Commission, assisting staff attorneys who were investigating and litigating alleged violations of Section 337. Mr. Johnson also worked as a primary examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the fields of land and motor vehicles. He received his B.S., cum laude, in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in 1989.
Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
