Victor H. Bezman concentrates in the area of taxation. He provides his clients with tax advice that effectively meets their individual goals. His corporate clients are involved in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, sales and purchases of businesses, international transactions, tax-free reorganizations, spinoffs, liquidations and many other transactions.
In addition, he advises private clients in a wide range of services, including personal and tax-driven estate planning for both the domestic and international client, business succession and charitable planning, probate, complex estate and trust administration, estate and trust litigation and charitable organization representation.
As a member of Katten’s Tax Controversy practice, Victor represents clients through all stages of sophisticated criminal and civil tax investigations and litigation, including sensitive audits and examinations, search warrants, grand jury subpoenas, negotiated resolutions at all levels within the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Justice, trials in both federal district court and Tax Court, sentencings and appeals.
