Victoria Morgan Carroll

V. Morgan Carroll joined Cozen O’Connor’s Atlanta office in 2010, where she is an associate in the Global Insurance Department. She focuses her practice on representing insurance companies in coverage litigation, and defending insureds and corporations in a wide range of matters.

Morgan has experience evaluating coverage under a variety of policy types and coverage forms, including general liability, professional liability, excess/umbrella, property, and life, health, accident, and disability insurance policies. She advises insurers on complex coverage issues, including those involving construction defects, professional liability, employment practices, environmental contamination, bad faith, mass and complex torts, premises liability, punitive damages, and products liability. Morgan regularly defends insurance carriers in litigation, and pursues declaratory judgments on their behalf.

Her defense practice includes cases involving premises liability, products liability, automobile liability, trucking liability, general liability, professional liability, and aviation. She has represented many types of insureds and corporations including trucking companies, brokers and logistics companies, construction companies, product manufacturers and distributors, property owners, hotels, flavor manufacturers in diacetyl litigation, and municipalities.

Morgan has an extensive insurance background, which began with her Bachelors of Business Administration in risk management and insurance, summa cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2003. Prior to joining the firm, Morgan developed valuable insurance coverage and defense experience while working as a senior claim specialist for Westchester Fire Insurance Company, a part of the ACE Group. During her time at ACE, Morgan handled a variety of large exposure, complex, primary general liability, umbrella/excess liability, and professional liability claims. While working at ACE, she obtained her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Claims (AIC) designations. This prior adjusting experience gives Morgan a unique ability to understand and view her cases through the eyes of the client.

Morgan attended law school while pursuing her adjusting career. She obtained her law degree from John Marshall Law School in 2008.

Morgan regularly provides pro bono services to indigent clients through cooperation with the Georgia Legal Services Program.
