Waajid Siddiqui is a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York.

Waajid maintains a broad-based M&A practice that is focused on representing a variety of corporate clients, including an emphasis on upstream and downstream oil & gas M&A and acquisition and divesture of lending and leasing platforms and portfolios of financial assets. His advisory work includes representation of major international companies and financial institutions. Prior to becoming a private-practice lawyer, he was a senior counsel with a large integrated energy company where he worked on cross-border M&A and corporate finance transactions. His representations in the industrial sector include a number of significant manufacturing and petrochemical transactions.
