Wayne W. Ringeisen

Throughout his legal career, which began in 1988, Wayne has litigated cases on behalf of his clients in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, Alabama, Texas, Arizona, California, North Carolina, Michigan, Tennessee, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Ohio and West Virginia.

Wayne's practice emphasizes complex product liability defense and construction litigation. His product liability practice emphasizes the defense of designers, manufacturers and sellers of automobiles and their component part suppliers, heavy duty trucks, heavy equipment and machinery, and has also litigated numerous cases involving a wide variety of consumer products. Automotive and heavy duty truck products encompass claims relating to occupant restraint systems, supplemental restraint systems, tires, pneumatic lifting devices, engines/transmissions and brake systems. Examples of such heavy equipment and machinery include forklifts, cranes, earthmovers, agricultural equipment, chlorine tank cars, engine lifts and frame-straightening machines, and baggage handling systems. Examples of consumer products include snow removal equipment, power tools, pharmaceuticals, diving boards, home appliances, lawn and garden equipment, exterior insulation finish system, and chemical solvents. In his defense of product manufacturers, Wayne has litigated claims of defective design and manufacture, failure to warn, malfunction, breach of warranty and punitive damages involving death, quadriplegia, brain injury, amputation, and other physical and mental injury.

His construction practice is dedicated to representing both owners and contractors in public and private construction projects, such as, the Pittsburgh Pirates' PNC Park, the Pittsburgh International Airport, public housing communities for the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, public school construction and renovation projects, underground industrial steam lines, office building renovations, and residential construction. In doing so, Wayne has litigated a variety of construction claims including mechanics liens, errors and omissions of architects and engineers, deficient and/or defective construction practices and/or products, defective design and manufacture, delays, disruptions or interference, inefficiency and loss productivity, and lost profits.
