Will Russ is a partner in the Dallas office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. As a member of the Real Estate Department, Mr. Russ counsels commercial real estate investors and developers, energy and infrastructure clients, and companies with substantial real estate assets.

Mr. Russ advises traditional real estate clients in connection with mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and the formation of joint ventures and development programs in the industrial, multifamily, office, and retail sectors, including related debt and equity financings.

In the energy sector, Mr. Russ works with clients on projects throughout the energy value chain, including pipelines, gathering systems, refineries, traditional and renewable power plants, and other infrastructure projects. He has negotiated surface-use agreements, easements and rights-of-way, renewable power leases, and complex ground leases for a variety of commercial and industrial uses.

Mr. Russ is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.

In 2006, Mr. Russ earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School; he earned his A.B. from Princeton University in 1999.

He is admitted to practice in the state of Texas.
