William A. Herzberger

Will Herzberger advises on and coordinates commercial, industrial, mining, and multifamily real estate transactions as single-purpose engagements and as part of business acquisitions and dispositions. He also has significant experience handling real estate assets in bankruptcy/distress business cases and forming limited liability companies for real estate-related activities. Will coordinates the Real Estate Practice in the Cleveland Office.

Will's recent experience includes advising Hostess Brands, Inc. on the real estate aspects of its bankruptcy, including the sale/liquidation of hundreds of current and former bakery facilities and related real estate assets. He similarly represented Chrysler LLC with respect to the disposition of its real estate assets in bankruptcy; assisted International Steel Group on its acquisitions of bankrupt Acme Steel, Bethlehem Steel, Georgetown Steel, and Weirton Steel; and advised National City Bank on a bulk disposition program of hundreds of foreclosed residential (REO) properties.

Will also has significant experience coordinating the real estate aspects of acquisitions and dispositions of portfolio companies for venture capital clients, including Kirtland Capital, Morgenthaler Ventures, Rockwood Equity, and The Riverside Company. In addition, he represents industrial and office facility tenants in leasing transactions. Examples of his tenant representations include the corporate headquarters of both Dix & Eaton and The Riverside Company and a series of build-to-suit leases for SPM Weir/Seaboard International.

Will is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association (Real Property Section) and has been selected for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers — Corporate Counsel Edition, as a top attorney in real estate law.
