William B. Rowland

Bill Rowland advises public and private companies, private equity funds, founders, and investors, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance, including complex multijurisdictional transactions. He coordinates the transactional practice in the Atlanta Office.

During his more than 25 years at Jones Day, Bill's transactional experience has spanned a broad range of industries, including chemicals, minerals, manufacturing, media, telecommunications, medical devices, and biotech. He has represented clients based in North America, Europe, and Asia. Companies with which Bill has worked on substantial matters include Cumulus Media, Eastman Chemical, Georgia-Pacific, and Koch Industries.

Bill is a frequent speaker on a variety of transaction-related topics. He is chair of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Bill is active in the community, where he currently serves on the Economic Development Committee of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the board of directors of the Alliance Theatre and Chinese Children Charities. He is a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2009.
