Bill Benitez

is a partner in the Houston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice concentrates on complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, executive compensation and equity incentive arrangements, and related general corporate counseling. Bill has worked on transactions in a variety of industries, including energy, healthcare, technology and financial services.

Bill also devotes substantial time to immigration-related pro bono matters and actively participates in the Firm's diversity and recruiting efforts.

Bill received a J.D., cum laude, from the Northwestern University School of Law, an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management and an undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Louisiana State University.

Prior to Northwestern University's JD-MBA program, Bill was a Manager in the North America energy consulting practice of Accenture in Houston. During his tenure with Accenture, Bill led consulting teams on behalf of various energy industry clients in connection with new system and process implementation, as well as post-merger integration.
