Bill Weiss, a partner in the firm's Tax Practice, advises U.S. and foreign clients on the tax aspects of corporate and partnership transactions, including tax-free reorganizations, spinoffs, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, equity-based compensation arrangements and the formation of joint ventures. In addition, he regularly advises sponsors, managers and investors on the tax aspects of the formation and operation of private equity, venture capital, real estate and hedge funds and the investments made by those funds.
