William K Whitner’s practice focuses on litigation with a particular emphasis on complex civil corporate matters. His wide-ranging substantive commercial experience includes contract disputes, franchise, business torts, intellectual property, and securities fraud class actions. Mr. Whitner represents global and national companies in federal, state and arbitration tribunals around the country at the trial and appellate levels.

Mr. Whitner joined the firm in 1998. He is a member of the firm’s Policy Committee and Co-Chair of the firm’s Global Diversity Committee. He also serves as the Hiring Partner and Chair of the Litigation Department for the Atlanta office. He is admitted to the Bar of the State of Georgia. He is a member of the Litigation and Franchising Sections of the American Bar Association. He is a member of the National Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a Fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia. He is a founding member of the Business Law Committee for the Georgia Bar, and he served two terms on the Georgia Supreme Court’s Commission on Access and Fairness in the Courts.
