William R. Harb’s practice focuses on securities enforcement, securities litigation and internal investigations. He defends clients in shareholder class actions, derivative actions, United States Securities and Exchange Commission proceedings, and mergers and acquisitions-related litigation. Some of the cases in which he has been involved include allegations of insider trading, market timing and stock option backdating.

William has also represented clients in complex business litigation, including breach of contract and violations of unfair trade practices laws, in trial and appellate courts throughout the United States, as well as before the American Arbitration Association.

Boston magazine named William as a “Massachusetts Rising Star — Super Lawyer” in the field of securities litigation in 2008, 2009, 2011-2013.

William has served as a special assistant district attorney prosecuting criminal cases for the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office.

While in law school, William clerked for the Hon. Bruce M. Selya of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
