Xiaowen Qiu

XIAOWEN QIU focuses her global finance practice on swaps and other derivatives, structured notes and other structured financial products. She has particular experience in equity derivatives, credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, financial products using various derivative products and structured notes linked to corporations, ETFs, funds, commodities, currencies, indices, and baskets.

Xiaowen provides legal advice on derivative and other structured products, including those linked to corporations, funds, bonds, baskets or indices, and those with exotic features. Her experience includes:

Representing financial institutions issuing structured notes or participating in various structured product transactions, including those involving equity derivatives, interest rate and cross currency derivatives and credit derivative products.
Managing, for financial institutions, programs relating to derivative transactions or structured notes.

In addition, Xiaowen’s experience also includes facilitating legal services for Chinese entities in connection with mergers and acquisitions, financing, capital market and other legal matters.

A native speaker of Mandarin, Xiaowen received her M.A. in Law and her B.A. in Economics & Trade from the People’s (or “Renmin”) University of China.
