Yael Aufgang has represented and counseled clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, including antitrust litigation, ERISA litigation, contract and real estate disputes, and First Amendment matters, as well as in government investigations and white-collar defense. Her experience covers arbitration, mediation, and the various stages of litigation in state and federal courts, including all aspects of discovery, motion practice, and class action settlement.

Yael also has represented pro bono clients in immigration proceedings and appeals, educational proceedings, and civil rights suits and has represented wrongfully convicted individuals in post-conviction cases through her work with the New England Innocence Project. She volunteers with Teach for America and Working in the Schools (WITS) and is an LCLD mentor.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Yael was a litigation associate with an international law firm in Boston. Before attending law school, she taught public school in the Bronx as a Teach For America corps member.
