Zachary A. McEntyre

Zach McEntyre

is a senior associate in the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group, specializing in defending businesses in class action lawsuits. Mr. McEntyre also has varied experience in other complex commercial litigation, including defending lawyers and law firms in professional liability litigation and representing financial institutions in complex disputes.

Class Actions

Mr. McEntyre has fought class actions in state and federal courts across the country for clients in myriad industries, including retail, manufacturing, healthcare, insurance, energy, and financial services. Many of those cases were litigated in jurisdictions widely acknowledged to be uniquely challenging for corporate defendants. Mr. McEntyre has defended clients in class actions involving, among others, claims for breach of contract, quasi-contract, breach of warranty, fraud, violations of state consumer protection statutes, and federal RICO violations. Mr. McEntyre also has extensive experience with jurisdictional and other issues arising under the Class Action Fairness Act.

Complex Commercial Litigation

In addition to his consumer class action experience, Mr. McEntyre has extensive experience in other aspects of complex commercial litigation, including representing law firms and lawyers in professional liability litigation and financial institutions in complex disputes.

Before joining King & Spalding, Mr. McEntyre graduated, cum laude, from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. While in law school, Mr. McEntyre was Articles Editor of the Mercer Law Review, President of the Student Bar Association, a member of the National and Georgia Intrastate Moot Court teams, and recipient of the Faculty Award to Outstanding Senior. He received his A.B. in history and political science, cum laude, from The University of Georgia. Before law school, Mr. McEntyre served as an aide to former Georgia Governor Roy Barnes.

Mr. McEntyre is admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and all Georgia state courts. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Atlanta Bar Association.
