Zachary D. Ludens

Zachary Ludens is a litigator. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He handles all phases of complex litigation, from advising clients before suits are filed, to assisting them through the appellate stage. Mr. Ludens works with clients in diverse industries, but has particular experience and interest in the finance, insurance, intellectual property, and technology sectors.

Mr. Ludens advises insurance clients on issues related to regulation of insurance policies and coverage once policies are issued and potential claims submitted. He works with the firm’s property and casualty insurance clients and has assisted them with numerous coverage disputes, including issuing coverage opinions, filing declaratory judgment actions to determine coverage, and handling bad faith lawsuits brought by the insured.

In addition, Mr. Ludens has significant intellectual property experience. His work for clients includes issuing and responding to cease and desist letters and prosecuting cases for trademark infringement. He also has considerable intellectual property litigation experience. Recently, he was part of the firm’s trial team in a Southern District of Florida trademark infringement action in which the firm’s client prevailed at trial and achieved a permanent injunction against the trademark infringer and cybersquatter.
