Zachary S. Finley

Zach Finley,

a partner in Orrick’s San Francisco office, is a member of the firm’s Banking & Finance Group. He advises major financial institutions as arrangers and lenders in syndicated credit facilities used for acquisitions, recapitalizations, refinancings and general corporate purposes. In addition, Mr. Finley represents publicly held and privately owned companies in connection with a wide array of commercial finance transactions, such as working capital facilities, asset-based loans and equipment financings. His experience also extends to debt restructurings and workouts.

The lead arranger and administrative agent for a US$1 billion secured credit facility provided to a natural resources company
The lead arranger and administrative agent for a US$75 million credit facility supporting an insurance company’s funding agreement-backed note program
The lead arranger and administrative agent for US$400 million of first-lien and second-lien credit facilities provided to a leading sponsor portfolio company in the healthcare industry
One of the largest bank creditors in the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s US$2.3 billion comprehensive debt restructuring
The lead arranger and administrative agent for a US$600 million secured credit facility provided to a multi-property casino and hotel owner and operator
A publicly traded owner and operator of data centers in connection with its US$750 million multicurrency credit facility
A publicly traded master limited partnership in connection with its US$400 million bridge loan facility for the acquisition of natural gas pipeline assets

Mr. Finley previously served a three-year term on the Commercial Transactions Committee (formerly called the Uniform Commercial Code Committee) of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California, acting as its Co-Chair for the final year of his term.

Mr. Finley has been listed as a “Rising Star” in the Banking & Finance category of the 2014 IFLR1000 Edition and was recognized by Chambers in its 2012 and 2013 editions for his experience in a range of commercial transactions acting for clients that include both lenders and borrowers.
